Scribe is operated by BIM GROUPE HOLDING INTERNATIONAL LIMITED, a Business Company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands under company number 2156814, registered office Aegis Chambers, 1st Floor, Ellen Skelton Building, 3076 Sir Francis Drake's Highway, Road Town VG1110, British Virgin Islands (referred to below as "BIM Groupe Holding", "we", "us"). Scribe connects to your WhatsApp account as a linked device, in the same way WhatsApp Web does. When you receive a voice note, video note or audio file, Scribe downloads it, converts the speech to text, optionally translates it into a language you selected, and posts the text back. The original media file is then deleted.
Optionally, Scribe can also transcribe voicemail forwarded to your personal Scribe address, and send transcripts to you by SMS using an API key you supply.
A Scribe account is a BIM account, shared with BIM VPN. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account. You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country of residence.
Voice notes you receive were recorded by other people. You are responsible for using Scribe lawfully where you live, including any local rules on recording, transcribing or storing what others have said to you.
Note on the default setting. By default the transcript is posted as a reply in the conversation, which means the person who sent the note, and any group members, will see it. If you do not want that, switch the delivery mode to "Only to me" in your account before linking.
Transcription and translation are produced by automated speech-recognition models. They are usually good and are sometimes wrong, particularly with poor audio, heavy accents, technical vocabulary, names and numbers. Scribe output must not be relied on as a verbatim record for legal, medical, financial or safety-critical purposes. Always check the original audio when accuracy matters.
You may not use Scribe to transcribe at industrial scale, to resell the output as your own service, to process material you have no right to process, or in any way that breaches WhatsApp's own terms. We may suspend an account that degrades the service for others.
Scribe is provided as-is, without guarantee of uptime. It depends on third parties, WhatsApp, speech-recognition providers, your carrier, and any of them can interrupt it. WhatsApp may unlink your device at any time, in which case you simply link again.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss arising from a transcription or translation being inaccurate, delayed or undelivered.
You can unlink WhatsApp and stop using Scribe at any time from your account page. You may ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it by writing to [email protected].
BIM Groupe Holding has no link whatsoever with BIM Exchange.
BIM Exchange is a decentralised-finance (DeFi) aggregator run solely by the BIM DAO. BIM Groupe Holding is not a supplier, customer, shareholder, investor, parent company, subsidiary, sister company, partner, agent or representative of BIM Exchange, and has no ownership, control, management role or economic interest in it. The similarity of name does not indicate any corporate, contractual or financial relationship.
Nothing offered by BIM Groupe Holding, Scribe included, constitutes a financial service, an investment product or financial advice, and no service of ours should be understood as endorsing, operating or being operated by BIM Exchange or the BIM DAO.
